This Privacy Policy explains what information RieSyncD ("we", "us") collects when you use our WhatsApp-based service that drafts LinkedIn posts, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
RieSyncD is a service operated from South Africa. You can reach us at bright@riesyncd.app.
2. Information we collect
- Your WhatsApp messages to RieSyncD, including voice notes, text, and any images you send so we can draft posts for you.
- Your WhatsApp profile name and phone number, provided to us by the WhatsApp Business Platform when you message us.
- LinkedIn account information you authorize us to access (your name, email, member ID, and permission to post on your behalf) via LinkedIn's OAuth flow.
- Writing samples and style preferences you provide so we can match your voice.
- Service data such as drafts, generated posts, approval/rejection, plan, credits, and timestamps.
- Payment metadata processed by our payment providers (Paystack and, where applicable, Stripe). We do not store full card details on our servers.
3. How we use your information
- To transcribe your voice notes and generate LinkedIn post drafts in your style.
- To publish posts to your LinkedIn account after you explicitly approve each one.
- To operate the service: billing, customer support, anti-abuse, and product analytics.
- To send service messages on WhatsApp (drafts, approvals, billing confirmations, occasional re-engagement nudges).
- To improve drafting quality. We do not sell your data or use your content to train third-party foundation models.
4. Who we share information with
- WhatsApp / Meta, as the messaging platform delivering your conversations with us.
- LinkedIn, to publish posts you approve and to read the minimum profile information needed.
- Google Cloud (Gemini, Speech-to-Text), to generate drafts and transcribe voice notes.
- Groq (fallback transcription), only when Google STT is unavailable.
- Paystack and Stripe, to process payments.
- Supabase or an equivalent managed Postgres provider, to host the database.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Drafts are retained so you can review what was generated; voice notes may be deleted once transcription is complete. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including South Africa's POPIA), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email bright@riesyncd.app and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS), managed infrastructure, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password on your linked accounts.
8. Children
RieSyncD is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent that may apply in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on WhatsApp or this page; the "last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
